How we got here
Tom and Sara met in 2015 and married in 2017. In 2018 they bought a 100 year old farmhouse in Caldwell, which is a beautiful place to live and an education in old plumbing. Galvanized pipe, shutoffs that had not moved in decades, a crawl space that reminds you every January that Idaho gets cold. If you have an older home in the valley, there is a good chance we have already fixed the same thing in ours.
Before Top Option, Tom spent years working for other plumbing companies around the Treasure Valley. He learned the trade properly, and he also learned what he never wanted to do: quote work people did not need, leave customers guessing at price, show up late without a phone call, or let an answering machine handle someone standing in two inches of water.
So he and Sara started their own company to do it the right way. Tom runs the work. Sara handles the side of the business most people never see, which is why your call gets answered and your questions get returned.
What we actually promise
A real person answers the phone, day or night. That is the promise we get thanked for most, and it is not complicated, it just requires actually doing it. Emergencies do not happen between nine and five.
Every plumber who works on your home is licensed and certified. You hear the price before the work starts. Fixture work is backed by both a product and a workmanship warranty, and the water softeners we install carry the manufacturer warranty. If a repair is the right answer instead of a replacement, we will tell you so, even when the replacement pays us better.
Faith and family
Tom and Sara are Christians, and it shapes how they run things more than what they say about it. Treat people the way you would want your own family treated, do honest work, charge a fair price, and stand behind it. That is about the size of it.
Local means local
